Ten honest things about me

1 I’m an insomniac, I have no problem at all in falling asleep but staying asleep is a big issue.

2 It is 4.43am and I am writing this in bed on a laptop. H is fast asleep next to me.

3 A few months ago I got ‘dumped’ via email by a close straight friend.  The reason she gave was that I was “too PC” these days and therefore no fun.

4 This has made me feel very sad and rather introspective for quite some time, and in fact has caused me to re-evaluate several other straight friendships.

5 I can only think of one vegetable I do not love to eat (fennel)

6 I am equally at home with either Mac, Windows or Linux operating systems

7 H and I have never argued

8 I used to believe that couples who didn’t argue were not emotionally close and were not passionate. I emphatically do not believe this anymore!

9 If I start a book I have to finish it, even if I hate it. The one exception to this happened when H and I were courting and lived a long distance from each other. We took turns in choosing a book for us both to read at the same time. H bought me a book by her absolute favourite author. By page three I loathed it, by page thirty I gave up. I felt very ashamed!

10 I have long nails for the first time in my adult life. Well, really they are short-long nails if you know what I mean. I don’t really like long-long nails, but mine are really pretty especially painted red.
